Term:  Resign

Resign—you can resign as executor and estate trustee for health or for other valid reasons subject to court and beneficiary approval. There may be costs involved if you require court approval. Resigning is quitting your duties. You cannot quit or resign unless you have court permission and account for your dealings. Replacement executors must be appointed by court.
