Term:  Discretionary Trusts

Discretionary Trusts—created by wills that permit you to distribute income or capital, as you see fit. Discretionary trusts can be used for beneficiaries who need support, have special needs or are spendthrifts. Persons on social assistance can maintain benefits if they have no control over when trust distributions are made. See Henson trusts.
