“Can You Negotiate Instead?”
Have you ever tried to solve a disagreement by arguing with a person?
Your attitude, facial expressions and tone of voice may have made things worse. You end up angering that person, making it impossible to bring them to the table.
So, how do you negotiate with someone you are angry with?
You have to let things cool down. Then you can find a way out of your problem.
The lesson is that if you keep your cool, you can do a better job communicating your position.
That’s how you get what you want. The same goes for a legal battle and that’s when you can use a white flag. Stay tuned for my next post where I discuss using white flags in lawsuits.
